Those are some very hardy souls. Here in our northern areas they build little huts over their spots so they can be protected from the more severe ravages of the weather.

Now that is dedication. Here they have no huts, but they continue to go on ice even when its covered with water in spring, but they dont care about the danger (an attitude I fail to understand).

As a matter of fact there are a few women participating in said activity, which reminds me how me and my dad planned to buy an ice drill and all the other necessary stuff and go fishing like that when I was a kid. It never happened, but I love this memory. 🙂
