medieval feast

A few months ago, in August to be exact, the beautiful town of Cesis hosted the annual weekend of all things medieval. Ive already done a post on it (which you can check out here) a couple of years ago, however, I like all things medieval which means I had to go back this year again and here for your viewing pleasure I present a few glimpses into this year’s medieval feast held at the beautiful Cēsis castle (you can find more info about the place here). It was also one of my first outings with the Canon 760D and it certainly didn’t let me down.

Thank you from the heart, Michelle! I love such events and Id love to go to a big renaissance fair in the UK or in the States one day (wearing a costume and all that jazz).

When I lived in southern California I went to the Renaissance Pleasure Faire every year. I loved it. I went in costume all but the first time…one year even dressing a a belly dancer and my husband dressed as a sheikh. People kept stopping me and asking what stage I was dancing on and what time. Not that year but after that I took lessons and and did dance in public. Sometime I’ll send you a picture. Ah, but that was many years ago.

That sounds like it was so much fun!!! My fondest memories from any medieval themed event Ive been to are from the performance of the British stunt group The Devil’s Horsemen (the guys who do all the equestrian things in Game of Thrones and many other shows and movies). I guess I do have a soft spot for knights… 😉

Yes, I think I’ve always has a soft spot for knights too. ….including my love for the ones in the movies from many years before you were born.
Am I the only person in the world who has not seen Game of Thrones? But although I watch probably too much TV I have the Limited Basic Cable package. My money is going towards following my dream and you and I know what that is.;-)

And I love almost anything that involves horses. My favorite part of the new Poldark series is him galloping along the cliff edge on that gorgeous horse….mane and fetlocks flying (the horses…not his).
