As much as I recall this was their cheery expression. ps: reminds me of an absolutely miserable couple I saw many years ago taking a gondola ride – you could tell it was an unforgettable experience for them. 😉
I can’t help but be amazed by the number of couples who walked around hand in hand but each of them with their noses buried in their phones.
I took a picture of a young couple for them and told them I wouldn’t take it unless they stood closer together and acted like they liked one another. They finally did.
And having your nose buried in your phone in that spectacular city is a crime….or should be.
That is so true and so annoying! Those small black mirrors have hypnotized and imprisoned people. I have this one photo (the first one in this post https://biankonera.com/2014/01/31/connections/) I took in Prague that literally had me standing and looking at them with a mute question: “What the hell are you two doing????”
Probably texting each other because they have lost the art of conversation.
Maybe we’ll do that when we finally meet. We can sit at Florian’s or Quadri on a sunny day across the table and text each other.
Nope, I don’t think so. We’ll have too much to say and I don’t type that fast!
I hope they both look a bit happier before he pushes the button.

I always am in favor of being “old fashioned” and having a conversation with people.
