A tale of two cities

This blog is a place where normally photographs do all the talking, but lets make this post an exception, shall we? No photographs. Only words.

The reason for such a decision was today’s question by the Daily Post: If you could split your time evenly between two places, and two places only, which would these be?

The first one is easy – Venezia. Its kinda obvious also for those who follow this blog, but Id like think there is nothing trivial in neither said city nor in my choice of it. Perhaps Im supposed to give a reason why, but come on – how by all the colors of Burano am I supposed to explain a dream of a city? I cannot and so I shall not do that. Nope. Sorry. Not gonna happen.

That brings us to the second city.
Now I could probably choose Torino for its regal beauty, endless arcades and chocolate that is literally to die for.
I could just as probably choose London because its vibrant, crazy and fun.
I could. But I wont.

Instead the honor of my second city goes to Rapallo. A small town on the Ligurian coast. Partly because Im sentimental. But mainly because thats where mountains protectively hug a gorgeously blue sea that takes my breath and worries away.

I’ll see you in Venezia then! Second choice, hmm, not so easy. It bears some thought.
